THE DETAILS

Here’s what you need to know up front.

  • We take on new builds, renovations, additions, and decorating projects.

    For decorating projects, we do require a certain degree of change. While we’re happy to work in a beloved existing piece or two, in order to truly transform a room, we will need to be very picky about paint, wallpaper, mouldings, and millwork.

  • We have a minimum spend per room of 30k on furnishings and decor. Budget for kitchen renovations must be at least 100k.

  • We believe no two homes should look the same. Each house comes with unique architecture, history, and inhabitants - we want to celebrate that!

    However, you will find consistencies across our portfolio:

    Deep, earthy color palettes balanced with moments of brightness to keep things from feeling stuffy. Meticulous spatial planning. Natural materials that will age with use and the passage of time. Plentiful millwork. Nods to more traditional styles while embracing contemporary aesthetics.

Our design process remains the same regardless of project scope to ensure a smooth experience from beginning to end.

On this call I’ll ask you to share your history with the house, ideal project scope and timeline, and most importantly, what you’d like to have at the very end of this process.

01. DISCOVERY CALL

At our first in-person meeting we’ll walk through the existing home or the construction plans. We’ll discuss your goals, limitations, and budget.

In an existing home I will survey (measure) any rooms we’re touching.

Cost: $250

02. SURVEYING

By this point, you have received and agreed to a design proposal - now comes the fun part!

During this phase, I’ll create design boards, 2D drawings, and 3D renderings to help you visualize the space.

This culminates with a presentation and, if necessary, revisions.

03. CONCEPTUAL DESIGN

You’ve approved the design package, so it’s time to start getting other trusted professionals on board if we haven’t already, like general contractors, painters, and millworkers.

04. HIRING

Time to bring our vision to life! While the interior architecture of your home is being molded into something new, we’ll secure our furniture and decor.

We utilize online software that allows us to keep tabs on all of our orders and lead times.

05. ORDERING

The wallpaper is in, the cabinets are built, and it’s nearly time to move back into your space.

White glove delivery services will bring everything in, and we’ll be there to arrange and style it.

This is also when we’ll ask to take photographs of the finished work.

06.INSTALLATION

PRICING

Pricing for every project will vary based on complexity and scope. After our initial meeting you will receive a proposal outlining all projected costs.

Our rate for design services is $200 per hour, and our rate for administrative tasks is $50 per hour. The design fee is calculated based on these numbers x projected number of hours.
