I take on new builds, renovations, additions, and decorating projects.

For decorating projects, there does need to be a certain degree of change. While I’m happy to work in a beloved existing piece, I specialize in full room transformations. This means paint, mouldings, wallpaper, area rugs, etc.

Things you need for the project to be successful:

-A definitive budget.

-A strong idea of what you like.

-An open mind.

-Respect for the craft. I am a professional designer. I’ve studied and worked and stretched myself thin to earn my expertise. You hired me for a reason. Trust me!

As you could probably guess, I like to design homes the same way I write a story. I begin with the characters - who you are, what you like, don’t like, the driving force behind your decisions.

Then comes the general plot. What needs to be achieved to reach a satisfying end result, and a plan to get there.

Finally, the tone. The aesthetic. What you see, feel, touch, and experience. While every person’s home should feel unique to them, I do have a preferred set of style guidelines:

-Deep, earthy color palettes balanced with moments of brightness to keep things from feeling stuffy.

-Meticulous spatial planning. Natural materials that will age with use and the passage of time.

-Plentiful millwork.

-Nods to more traditional styles while embracing contemporary aesthetics.
